Platform Migration with a collaborative Programme and Product approach

A significant element of the migration was moving OMS, whilst ensuring existing and new last mile capabilities remained unaffected.

With an already heavily customed e-commerce platform for George, built up over 6 years of fast paced development, and supported by enterprise level Asda solutions such as OMS and WMS, the task was significant to capture and ready all functionality for continuity through the new platform.

Simon (leading on Product), and Marcus (leading on Programme and Delivery), worked with numerous UK and global teams to ensure not only a seamless migration, to also ensure stability, business continuity, and readiness to include additional capabilities within the new platform.

Over roughly an 18 month period, key elements of the platform were gradually migrated, with OMS being the largest area to move, including huge quantities of data to validate.
